Imran was born in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State. He holds a BA in Social Work and Journalism from New York State University, Buffalo. He is active in community outreach and media engagement. Imran works to amplify Rohingya voices through advocacy and journalism. He educates the public about human rights and refugee issues. His activism promotes integration, awareness, and support for displaced people. He collaborates with U.S.-based refugee and rights organisations. He currently resides in the United States.
